Ubud, 17 October 2025 - In celebration of Tumpek Wariga, a Balinese sacred day honoring the prosperity and preservation of plants, Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud, in collaboration with the Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Gianyar, held a Tree Planting Activity in Lodtunduh Village, Ubud, Gianyar.

This activity is part of Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud’s “1% for Smiles and Trees Program,” an initiative that reflects the resort’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community wellbeing.

The event was attended by guests of Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud and honored by the presence of Bupati Gianyar, Drs. I Made Agus Mahayastra, M.Si, who expressed his deep appreciation for the program.

In the past, when people cut down a tree, they were obliged to plant a new seedling beside it. However, over time, this became merely symbolic — people cut down trees but only planted branches in return. This habit must change. Let us begin by truly planting trees,” said Bupati Gianyar, Drs. I Made Agus Mahayastra, M.Si.

The activity also embodies the essence of Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese philosophy emphasizing harmony between humans, nature, and the divine. By participating in this meaningful event, Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud reaffirms its dedication to nurturing the environment while respecting local traditions and values.

This activity aligns with our philosophy as a wellness and lifestyle boutique resort that believes in balance — between people, nature, and culture,” said Endy Hermawan, General Manager of Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud. “We are honored to be part of this meaningful moment, celebrating Tumpek Wariga through real action for a greener future.

Through this initiative, Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud continues to take tangible steps toward sustainable hospitality, inspiring both guests and the community to preserve the beauty and harmony of Bali’s natural environment.
